While peaking on a fairly intense 25i-nbome trip, enjoying all the fantastic and intricate colorful wave patterns, I decided to take a hit of some salvia. I had no idea what was in store for me. Really... No idea. This report will mainly focus on the 2 salvia trips that occurred within the nbome trip.

Now, I've had some pretty intense trips in the past, with mushrooms, LSD, and the ultimate DMT. This was right up there with my DMT experience. I was listening to some pretty aggressive electronic music through my headphones, which probably influenced the whole thing. I wish I hadn't been listening to anything at all.

I took a nice big hit of the salvia, and held it in deeply. I was alone in my bedroom, sitting on my bed. I've always been comfortable and confident tripping solo, though I understand that's not always recommended. Right as I exhaled, I felt time come to growling a halt. It felt like all the air had sucked out of the room. Everything became deathly still, and from some very far away place, I could sense a gigantic machine approaching. Something very, very big was about to happen. This machine felt like a lawnmower, but the size of the cosmos. A buzzing, whirring sound arose. It zoomed past me to one side. Then it came back the other way, but a little closer this time, and louder. The very plane of reality I was in, began to rumble and vibrate. It zoomed by again, inching closer and closer with each pass. Finally, it came right over me, and I happened to be looking at a soda or beer can on the corner of my stereo speaker. It warped and transformed into this weird, smiling cartoon face. Much like the cartoon style of the 40s and 50s era, or the video game Cuphead. It stared and grinned at me. It was alive.

At this very same moment, I could sense these two acrobatic jester-like creatures on either side of me, in my peripheral. They flipped and danced about, and they were the stagehands, drawing the curtains to this new world. The walls in my room came apart as if they were fake all along. The illusion was lifted. Simultaneously, yet again, this machine was ripping me open, from the head down. The sensation was like a knife made of fire, and I was an article of clothing being buzz sawed apart. I actually felt like I was made up of some sort of fabric, like burlap.

My entire being began to twist and roll as this knife worked its way down my body. It burned hot, but not quite like you would expect. It wasn't painful, but uncomfortable. It felt like fire, yet was scratchy and rough. It's difficult to describe the sequence of events here, because I felt I was having two different experiences at once. As the unweaving took place, I was rolling, tumbling and churning forward. I was like this contorted gross flesh fabric being rolled up by an unforgiving machine. I rolled over, went upside down, all the way round again, over and over.

Now this fabric was pressing into my face, suffocating me, constricting me, utterly destroying me. Amidst all of this mess, there was this tiny dot in the background eons away. It was my body, sitting there on my bed. If there was ever a time to freak out and lose my shit, this was it. But I knew somehow, to just let it do its work, and I would be OK.

I'm not sure how I transitioned into this next part, but I eventually ended up having a lot of flashing imagery, of a mad carnival ride. Lights, noise, a giant clown head with a ruffled collar, pinstripe suits, fire, lots of activity. The clown looked just like Bozo the Clown, but with a much more serious demeanor. Another flash. I was suddenly a little baby in a carriage, with a young happy couple looking over me, in a park. This made no sense. Finally, it began to fade, and I could here the song on my headphones again. I ripped them off because it was unpleasant. I was back in my body, back to my nbome trip.

Woah, what just happened? I felt like I was just put through the slaughter house, The Itchy and Scratchy Show. Chopped up to bits, yet was conscious the entire time. I took another hit shortly after, a much smaller hit, mind you. I honestly don't remember this one as well as the first, but I felt the hot knife again, tearing through my fiber, so to speak. There was a moment though, when I felt like I was on the other side of this reality wall. The dividing line between this world and salvia world. I could see the back of my own head, and I was rotating around in frames, like being superimposed onto a film strip. The animator or printer of this reality.

It's too difficult to explain or even contemplate in a sober mind state. Coming down from this second trip, I remember seeing this vast network of kaleidoscopic eyes, a galaxy of sorts, very bright yellow, and swirling away into infinity. Well, that's it folks. I never really tripped within a trip before, but it is very unnerving, intense, and a bit frightening. Beware. This combination was very powerful.
