DOSE:
100 mg oral Pharms - Tramadol (pill / tablet)
BODY WEIGHT: 120 lb
Tramadol is one of my favorite little treats. I'm a small man and am quite sensitive to pretty much anything I put in my body, from caffeine to cannabis to Vicodin. I had a handful of cycling injuries in my mid-twenties and found myself left with a nice little stockpile of opiates and Tramadol to experiment with. After my first (and worst) cycling injury, I was left with a broken clavicle and was prescribed hydrocodone (7.5mg) to use during the two days between the break and my surgery to repair the bone. This was the first time I had ever taken an opiate analgesic in my life - the dose was way too strong and made me so severely nauseous I ended up foregoing it because the pain of the broken bone was actually less miserable than the nausea/vomiting from the hydrocodone. After my surgery, the nurses set me up with a whole bunch of Tramadol which turned out to be a match made in heaven.

50-100mg of Tramadol is plenty to get me a really nice buzz that lasts several hours. I tend to first notice the effects around T+00:45-01:00, and the come up is a nice, gradual warmth that spreads through my body. The peak for me occurs at about T+03:00 and at this point I feel like I'm in a warm bath, and my body is totally slack and relaxed. When I'm at the peak, I like to take it at night, generally around 7-8pm and lay in bed under a warm, heavy down comforter with the lights off and earplugs in. The sensory deprivation and heavy blanket adds so much to the experience for me and allows me to really sink into the buzz and let myself go. A Tramadol buzz is almost meditative for me - the warmth and fuzziness the drug lends allows me to really connect with my body and my mind.

Though I feel utmost relaxation both physically and mentally, my quality of sleep on a Tramadol buzz is distinctly poor.
Though I feel utmost relaxation both physically and mentally, my quality of sleep on a Tramadol buzz is distinctly poor.
I notice I slip in and out of sleep during the entire duration of the buzz and always wake up feeling relatively unrested. My dreams are hyper-realistic and vivid and almost lucid in quality. I do experience a bit of itching on Tramadol, and my breathing slows quite a bit. During a particularly intense buzz, I tend to feel like there is a weight on my chest.

I notice that I develop a tolerance to Tramadol alarmingly fast. When I have taken it recreationally two nights in a row or even twice within the same week or two, the second buzz is nowhere near as strong as the previous one at the same dose. Despite this, I've never taken more than 100 mg. I know that I'm fairly sensitive to substances and the rate at which I develop a noticeable tolerance to Tramadol is enough for me to curb my use at very low doses and frequencies. Tramadol becomes a few times a year type of treat for me, but oh what a treat it is!
