DOSE:
5 mg oral Naltrexone (daily)
BODY WEIGHT: 195 lb
I am an MS patient and have been interested in LDN therapy for a long time but couldn't find a neurologist to prescribe it because it still lacks 'gold standard' clinical evidence.

I am also an alcoholic and was prescribed naltrexone several years ago to curb alcohol cravings. My experience with it at the full strength (50 mg) was awful and similar to others' - a sense of dissociation, bad body high, nausea, etc. I only managed about a week of it at that dose. I put the bottle in the cabinet and forgot all about it.

Fast forward to now. Experienced an MS exacerbation that was pretty frightening, talked to my Dr about treatment again but I still can't convince myself that the pharmaceutical MS treatments are for me, for a number of reasons.

Remembered that I still had almost an entire bottle of Naltrexone and started myself on the low-dose therapy.

I have been experiencing increased energy, clarity, and 'bright' mood in the week since I started. Full of love for the boyfriend and family, less prone to frustration, just slightly trippy-happy-high ;) My cravings for alcohol are also lessened, and also a small reduction in food and cigarette cravings too.

All this comes with (purportedly) an increase in immune function, protection from cancer, and other anti-inflammation properties?

To me, it feels like a substance that should be put in the water system!
