I had heard about Calea's effects before and was extremely curious as to how it effects one's dreams, so I thought I would try it myself. I had tried taking 3 600mg capsules the night before with good results but I had trouble recalling the whole dream so I decided to bump it up to 4 the next night.

I took the 4 about one hour before falling asleep. What happened next changed me in ways I can't even fully process as I am writing this. It started out with my grandmother and I were in a hospital room (I stress myself out alot about her well-being so maybe this is the cause of the dream) and she was dying. I'm not sure what the cause in this dream was, but she was. I spoke to the doctors and they told me they were going to give her something to make her sleep so she didn't feel it. I walked over to the hospital bed where she was about to lay down and told her 'They're gonna give you something to make you sleep okay?' and she just got this smile on her face as if she was ready to go.. she looked at me grinning and said 'Ok here we go.' and she laid down in the bed and I laid with her and immediately started sobbing. I started thinking about what my life would be like without her, how when I was sad I wouldn't be able to come in her room and talk with her.. At which point I began to wake up because this dream felt so real that I was actually sobbing in my sleep, and I woke up in tears.

I now see why this herb is revered as 'The Leaf of God....'
