I used to be prescribed 3 benzodiazepines at once, from one doctor. This sounds very odd at first, but Triazolam (Halcion) and Temazepam (Restoril) are Medications prescribed for insomnia, and the doctor had no problem prescribing them both, alongside a xanax script of 2 of the 2mg bars per day. Triazolam feels very similar to xanax, but feels better than xanax does, it's more euphoric. Sometimes a very short acting benzodiazepine can be ideal. When I want to relax but have something to do in a couple hours, I can't eat a bunch of xanax and jump off the deep end. With Triazolam I can get quite fucked up and still be able to act sober 2 or 3 hours later.
