I have not seen any proper ingestion methods or experiences on here so I thought I would share. Creating a tea and smoking a few cigarettes from leaves is the common method but not the most effective. To receive the proper effects from this beautiful plant you should either chew leaves slowly over the course of fifteen minutes, letting the pulp gather underneath your tong. Better yet, create a tincture and let two droppers full rest beneath your tong for a full fifteen minutes. Tea and smoking work, but do not yield as powerful effects.

This plant is not intended for recreational use. Not only is it the foulest thing I have ever tasted, but it deprives you for sleep. I consider the plant to have its own essence and in trade for its service she will take some of your peaceful rest. She (Calea) will wake you constantly and detest the loss of your mind to true sleep. Mexican shaman would use her for knowledge and if you ask a question while falling asleep, staying focused on it, she will answer you. Calea tastes absolutely terrible; one needs a dedication or purpose for her presence.
