Summary
Jack Herer, sometimes called the Emperor of Hemp, was an author and advocate for the hemp and marijuana movements. In 1985 he wrote The Emperor Wears No Clothes, a seminal book on the history of hemp and marijuana prohibition. Herer also founded and served as the director of the organization Help End Marijuana Prohibition (HEMP).
