Abstract
Ampullaria cuprina (the "mystery" snail) responds to LSD with typical disorganized movement (Cf. Abramson and J Jarvik Psychol. 40: 337, 1955). Amputation of the foot eliminates the reaction to LSD. As little as 0.01 mcg. LSD can be detected by using the "mystery" snail.
