“Lysergic Acid diethylamide (LSD 25): II. Psychobiological effects on the Siamese Fighting Fish.”.
Science. 1954;120:990.
Abstract
The Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens) exhibits vegetative, motor and behavioural responses to LSD in concentrations as low as 1 mcg./ml. spring water. The authors believe this study may lead to a new method of detecting LSD and possibly other ergot derivatives in urine and other body fluids.
