In 27 normal subjects, the author confirmed the psychic changes reported by previous investigators (perceptual disturbances, visual hallucinations, changes in affect - generally euphoria - release of inhibitions or less frequently inhibition, and depersonalization). The use of LSD as an aid in psychoanalysis is discussed.
