The effect of LSD was investagated in 24 studies on 19 normal subjects. LSD (30-40 mcg. orally) produced disturbances in general condition and autonomic symptoms and, in addition, certain neurotic and psychotic symptoms. The effect generally persisted for 24 hours, but a prolonged effect was noted in some cases.
