| Roth et al. report that salvinorin A is a highly-selective kappa-opioid agonist, solving the long mystery of its site of action. |
| Most of the classical hallucinogens (mescaline, LSD, DMT, etc.) are serotonergic agonists. Salvinorin A is therefore both chemically and pharmacologically distinctive. |
