Tempo (looks like small local newspaper?) http://www.pinelog.sfasu.edu/2002/2-21/P5-2-21.pdf By Dylan Jimenez Tempo Editor Erowid.org teaches the smart way to get high. This site features homemade recipes, chemical equations and step-by-step tips on how to process 36 kinds of highly dangerous and highly addictive street drugs. Erowid describes itself as a “small non-commercial organization”. . .“trying to provide accurate, specific and responsible information about how psychoactives are used in the United States and around the world.” Erowid navigates with the fervor of a fan club Web site. But the genuineness of the information and the attention in the execution of the content won my admiration and curiosity. In about 10 minutes I learned how to use natural resources to simulate the effects of LSD, how to correctly shoot heroin and what psychedelic mushrooms look like as opposed to your garden variety. Not that this information was particularly helpful, but for shock value, courage and genuine informativeness, I respect the site. Erowid is more than a source for tips to drug users. It’s a database for a variety of information dedicated to drug use. There are user and parent testimonials, chemical information, federal research data and even links to the Bible and other spiritual and literary resources. The disclaimer was the most entertaining link. Grade: A (For execution and design) DYLANJIM@HOTMAIL.COM Erowid.org Erowid.org Erowid.org offers a wealth of information regarding drugs.
