3. Psychedelic Pioneer Humphry Osmond Dies
   British psychiatrist and psychedelic researcher Humphry Osmond died on Feb 6, 2004 at the age of 72. Osmond worked with mescaline and LSD in the 50s and 60s, primarily seeking treatment possibilities for alcoholism and schizophrenia. He is best known for coining the term "psychedelic" in a letter to Aldous Huxley in 1956.
