I normally take adderall whenever I want to get stuff done or just want a rush for a couple hours. Today, however, I tried vyvanse. It had many similar aspects of adderall, however, it was very different. Instead of the rush of energy that I normally get followed by a more energized day, I had a slightly more than a more energized day that lasted a lot longer.

It took about 15 minutes for me to feel the first effects. It started with just more focus then turned into increased energy levels. Compared to adderall I was much, much more focused on my tasks and getting them done. Time for me went by a lot quicker than normal because I was so busy. Overall the vyvanse made me get much more accomplished in a short period of time. Eg. Things that I normally got done in an hour took me like 15 minutes.

There was a down side to this compared to adderall though. The anxiety that I normally experience was amplified 5x. When I take any kind of stimulant my anxiety is increased. It doesn't make me paranoid I just get very anxious about every little thing. My ocd was also increased. I also felt happy, sad, and mad all at the same time, while not being able to display any of these emotions to anyone. Lastly, like adderall it made me not hungry so I didn't eat anything all day.

Vyvanse is a great drug that can help when I need to study or just need something to help get though the day with minimal side effects. Most people that I talk to don't have any side effects like the ones I had. They normally just have Xernostomia with minor anxiety and appetite loss.
