I Never Knew Thee

I wanted to see how bad caffeine was for me and the effects it could have on the body so I went on a caffeine binge. Big Mistake! Just to be clear... I am an average caffeine consumer.... drinking a couple cup of coffees a day or possible a cup of coffee and perhaps a energy drink later. Also, I am considered 'chemically sensitive', which means I react to chemicals much worse at lower-levels than most people. Keep in mind that everyone's body chemistry is different, so others may have a higher tolerance.

My main methods of consumption were espresso, energy drinks and soda. After the first hour I felt the effects. The first hour was merely 3 shots of espresso. I usually never take this much! At the most only 2. It was fine, after the second hour and a couple of drinks later is when the fun stopped. Within 2 hours and 16 minutes in (not even close to my 2 day cut-off), I was feeling very paranoid. I did not have the euphoric feeling that sometimes caffeine brings. I had a little stomach discomfort. I felt a little uneasy is another way of putting it.

Three Hours In: Now I have a headache...
Three Hours In: Now I have a headache...
but not the usual kind. I have a strong pressure around my forehead, sinuses and eyes. Urination and my urge to have a bowl movement increased. I notice a slight tremor in my hands.

Four Hours In: I feel like crashing. I feel disoriented and dizzy. I feel slightly sick.

Five Hours In: I am getting hot flashes and the feeling of sickness has grown stronger.

Now keep in mind that I am continuing to consume caffeine by the hour.

Seven Hours In: My nose starts to bleed for some odd reason. I decide to keep going.

I finally crash somewhere between 7 and 8 hours.

The next day I pick up where I left off even after feeling like shit the next morning. After a couple of hours I feel even worse than I did the day before. It almost feels like the flu. My nose is running no matter how hard I blow. My head feels like it is slighter warmer than usual and my head has a pressure that is really really bad.
...
Now towards the end of the second night I feel worse than I have ever felt ever in my life. I will go as far as to say even dope sickness felt better. This is a different kind of sickness and it's almost a really bad uneasiness everywhere in my body. A huge pressure inside of my head and my stomach is so twisted that I have to force myself to eat even the slightest bit of food. I hate this feeling, I want it to go away at any cost. As I am writing this it is towards the end of the second night. I'm going to take a cold shower as the hot flashes are pretty bad.

I think I am going to avoid caffeine for the rest of my life.
