DOSE:
1 tablet oral MDA (pill / tablet)
BODY WEIGHT: 130 lb

My experience was not something I could have anticipated or expected.

I came to a rave in the summer, outdoors, expecting to eat some MDMA, dance, look at lights, and love music. I was with my significant other, and we went out to a large area with people standing around looking for our pills. We had a friend recommend a seller to us, we’ll call him C. C offered us two different kinds of pills. “If you want to roll hard”, he said “take the pink ones. But if you wanna see stuff, take the blues”. C claimed he had “seen shadows” on the blue pills, which lead me at the time to believe they could be MDA. We purchased two of each and went on our way.

A few hours later, I ingested the blue pill. In about a half hour, we were watching infected mushroom, and was staring up at the lights and visuals on the stage. I watched the “psychedelic” visuals on the screens and absentmindedly wondered why, superimposed with the ‘psychedelic’ fractal imagery, they had put what looked like videos of old people eating oatmeal. I sat there thinking, “what the hell?” and then I realized that the old people indeed were not really there. I then began to watch the lights on stage. They were white lights that had been lighting up in vertical patterns up and down. But when I began to pay attention to them, the lights instead stayed stationary and they formed into shape to say “7, 6,5,4,3,2,1” down and up, back up to 7. The points of light from the colored lights on stage turned into flowers that burst into life and spread Technicolor pollen all through the air around the dancing audience below.

There were green lasers coming off the stage and shining into the trees which reflected the pattern of what looked like phrases typed out into MS Webdings. Under the tree, there was an old midget woman wearing a Russian hat and picking apples. Across the way, there was a headless man in a grey sweat suit glowstringing with green glowsticks. Black lights had become giant puffer balls that hissed at me as I walked by. I could see them through walls, trees, and people. It was as if they were on the top of my vision, all the time, once my brain had stored where they were located.

At this time, I wasn’t feeling well (my stomach hurt as I hadn’t eaten anything all day – poor planning!) and I ended up vomiting behind a tent. This was not pleasant, although the only thing unpleasant at all about this trip was the stomach pain. Aside, of course, from the fact that my boyfriend was going insane because he thought I was ‘overdosing’. I don’t really like to talk when I’m on MDMA (unlike everybody else) and I really hate to talk when I’m tripping on anything. So I had been talking to him only minimally the entire night. He didn’t like this, and got upset. We ended up leaving early because he wouldn’t listen to me when I told him I wasn’t dying.

On the way home, there were “shadows” and “clones” of all the signs on the street. I fell asleep at one point only to be suddenly jarred awake when I saw in the lane next to us a giant tractor trailer composed entirely out of bark and leaves. When I looked at it, it blew away with the wind. When I got home, I ate three hydrocodone pills that I was told to use for pain after a surgery, and fell asleep. I felt terrible for two days, just “out of it” and stupid.

In the end, the visuals of the trip were great, and I enjoyed them highly. Unfortunately, the body “buzz” was exhausting (I felt so heavy) and the stomach pains and constant vomiting were horrible. The entire time I was sapped for energy. I would do MDA again, though, purely because the visuals were beautiful.
