I have taken dxm HUNDREDS of times(if not thousands). I use the pure 99.9% pure FDA approved kind every day for months on end. Probably close to a year, the only days I didn't take it was when I had the flu. I agree, alot of crazy shit happends when you use it, it becme my favorite drug. I would take it before school, then at lunch break, then after school, then when I went to work. And smoked pot the entire time.

Towards the end, it had no effect on me other than making me puke. And I was suffering withdrawl syndroyms from it and taking it make me sick. Withdrawl went on for about a month. One of the hardest to kick, cause I would crave it, but it didn't get me high, just made my headaches/bodyaches/anxiety go away along with my lunch down the toilet. So I guess in closing, be careful with this stuff, use in moderation cause after some amount of use, it is addicting. No one bothered telling me that, thats one lesson I had to learn on my own.
