I’ve been prescribed 300 mg daily of Pregabaline for my mood swings and to help with sleep. Sometimes, I use the pills as recreation or to avoid self-harm. Today I took 14 pills of 150 mg, all the pills for a week.

It started slowly, like usual. The feeling of floating and being distant but at the same time seeing everything in HD detail. We had guests over for a BBQ and usually I would’ve hidden in my room and only come downstairs when they were gone. This time I socialized like crazy, asking questions, answering questions, making jokes and small talk. When I’m on Pregabalin I’m my true self, the one that comes out only when comfortable, and it takes a long time for me to get comfortable.

I found the right time to have a little talk with my mom, in which I cried confessing all my guilt and intrusive images from me attempting suicide in 2019. We had a really healing and spiritual conversation, in which both of us felt that we were one and felt the true love of the universe. I hugged her, burying my nose in her chest and in the darkness of her sweater I saw all the infinite possibilities of the life that I was living at the moment, for a short while I understood Infinity.

My body still feels floaty and dissociated, but it’s a comfortable feeling. I don’t feel nauseous. Lyrica gives me back my excitement and friendliness. A wonderful medicine!
