Recently was prescribed Amitriptyline 10mg at night. For insomnia and IBS. I already take Clonazepam three times daily at 1mg. I have for years. I have the same effect from 1mg as I did a year ago. I also use cannabis oil daily.

I only took it 4 nights in a row. As the side-effects were too strong. Mixing it with my normal Clonazepam. Dizziness, groggy, confusion, imbalance, memory loss, and weakness in general. If I dared to have a toke I would be completely incoherent.

It worked instantly for my IBS symptoms. As for insomnia, it made me sleepy but did not keep me from waking during the night. I did not fall asleep faster. The only benefit there, was falling asleep sooner after waking at night.

But the next days were blurs, I couldn't have a dab like I normally do without having to lie down for 2 hours. I couldn't remember what were dreams or reality. (Big issue for me) I couldn't function at all. It was like I had a bad cold. I had a headache. Dry mouth, general lethargy all day. Muscle weakness, pains in my kidneys and liver. (Red Flag) The list of side-effects is long.

I stopped on after the 4th night. It took a few days to leave my system. It's half-life is 20-50 hours. After 3 days I felt "normal" again, and have been sleeping about the same. Over a week has passed now.
