Seeking a Good Moderate Balance
Risperidone & Chocolate

DOSE:
0.5 mg oral Pharms - Risperidone (daily)
  1 tsp oral Chocolate (daily)
BODY WEIGHT: 180 lb
I've been necessarily prescribed risperidone for about, maybe half a year now. Every time I've attempted to quit taking it, taper off of it, I can tell I actually do need it. It helps me stay calm and keeps away my extreme anxiety, along with a few other things similar to paranoia. I feel much better while I'm on at least half a mg every day, is what I'm getting at here. I'm pretty sure that doctors have said don't mix anything strong with this prescription.

The only thing I've found that helps wake me up the next day from sleeping on risperidone, is drinking raw cocoa in hot water. Just a spoonful at a time in a full tall glass. Mix it while it's warm. No sugar, no milk. Just cocoa. Raw dark cocoa. It's a little bitter, but it will wake me up.

I've noticed, strangely, that if I eat a half mg of risperidone while drinking the chocolate, the risperidone makes the cocoa wake me up even more. Is this a bad thing? A health risk at all? It feels really nice. But I've been using cocoa in the morning, risperidone at night, in case it IS a bad interaction.

I use raw cocoa wisely, and make sure I eat every day, drink plenty of water. As for the interactions, there are literally none listed anywhere whatsoever online at this time. All I know is that chocolate contains theobromine, and caffeine. As well as quite a few natural maoi's.

I don't know if mixing the two is harmful or not. That's my experience.... It FEELS like a good healthy balance. I'll write a new story if any health problems arise.
