With average doses, there are clear stages in the 'trip'. These being the Come Up (0-3rd hour) Peak (4th-6th hour) Plateau (7th-12th hour) and Comedown (13th-19th hour). The end of the comedown is usually accompanied by a crash. I will most likely feel physically exhausted (increasing with dosage) and will want to sleep. When dosing during the night, it is common for people to attempt to sleep during late plateau or comedown stage due to being physically or mentally tired and results in a sleep-like state. This sleep-like state is a common occurrence, but I don't expect to get any real sleep during the trip as it is an amphetamine and is very stimulating.

DOC builds tolerance rapidly, similar to LSD, so I don't expect to trip one day, then have an amazing trip 2 days later. I do believe that this substance is not particularly good for the heart, based on the vasoconstriction and the chest pains that are common.

IME there has been many patterns in the thought processes that DOC induces as tested in multiple individuals. A thought process that occurred nearly every time was analyzation of relationships. Specifically, the balance (give and take) in the relationships the individual has. It becomes clear to see who is giving/taking more than the other and if these relationships are truly productive and genuine.

Another common occurrence is hard to explain but I will give it a shot. Lights, the reflection of lights, and the hues these lights put on other objects have an odd effect on how the individual feels and perceives other sensory input. I have not been able to clearly pinpoint this mental process. Another occurrence being the body high that DOC brings, loosely reminiscent of MDMA, that persists throughout the trip, but is dynamic, changing slightly throughout the different stages of the experience. Another phenomenon that occurred in most individuals was one that I have seen with other psychedelics. Individuals could (with great clarity) pinpoint mistakes made in their recent or distant past (most commonly problems currently on the mind) and the steps needed to fix them. This, I have found, happens progressively most commonly starting during the peak and continuing until around the 12 hour mark (with an average dose).

This powerful clarity combined with the intense body high makes DOC one of my favorites. One effect that is apparent in nearly every individual deals with the open-eyed visuals. it has been shown that by focusing on the visuals with your mind seemingly make them go away while 'zoning out' and focusing on them with only the eyes can start visuals that progressively get more intense. its difficult for me to explain that well because normally the word focus refers to both the eyes and the mind. Music is fantastic on this drug, and, as with other drugs, the individual will feel more inclined to listen to a particular genre, artist, or songs that give a particular feeling. For example on Psilocybin I am fascinated by Sublime's music, while on LSD it is not as amazing as something like, say, Chance the Rapper.

Other Relevant Information

In conclusion, the drug DOC brings on a powerful, stimulating body high, reminiscent of MDMA (IMO), and a mental headspace vaguely similar to that of LSD but with a clearer, faster mind (basic description) that starts over the course of the first 3 hours. It can produce open and closed eye visuals.
