I was a heavy user and used around 1600 mg a day for a couple years. I have had multiple false positives for both PCP and Opiates. I just wanted to add my part in saying that it is a likely possibility to show a false positive when using DXM.

Currently I am 20 years old with a body weight around 165 pounds. I started using DXM when I was fourteen out of curiosity but obviously it turned into a lot more. I was been placed in several treatment facilities as a youth due to my DXM use. I was in Pomegranate Health Systems when I first tested positive for PCP from only using DXM. On that specific occasion I had ingested maybe only 480mg of dxm. At the time, I was mainly using Mucinex Dm maximum strength and Delsym, but at times would take Coricidin Cough and Cold.

Later, I was involved with Abraxas youth and was under going daily drug testing, I never actually failed for opiates but was very close every time. The line was very faint, but just enough to where it was not considered positive.
