Erowid accepts donations (but not membership dues) through Bitcoin, a geeky anonymous digital currency. If you would like to help support Erowid, send us a few!

If you aren't familiar with the process, below is a practical list of steps for buying Bitcoins and using them to make a donation to Erowid. Note that you can also donate directly via Dwolla, which currently has very low fees, but it is not very anonymous:

1. Download the Bitcoin client.
2. Sign up for Dwolla.
3. Make an ACH withdrawal from your bank account into Dwolla.
4. Transfer money from Dwolla to Mt. Gox.
5. Buy Bitcoins at Mt. Gox
6. Send Erowid Center a few Bitcoins (or a couple tenths) by entering our address (above) into your Bitcoin client.
7. Feel extremely cutting edge, anonymous, and hacker-y. You are now cool.

Note that unless you email us to let us know you donated Bitcoins, we receive no information about the contributor. You can view the recent Bitcoin donations we've received at blockexplorer.com.
