- Solubility: Dissolves in organic solvents (chloroform, ether, benzene, acetone, etc.) when in freebase form. Dissolves in water when in the form of a salt (with HCl, H2SO4, etc...). Freebase is insoluble in water and salts are insoluble in organic solvents.
