| 1971-1987 |
| Starting around 1971 through the late 1980s, 5-MeO-DMT was discreetly available to members of the Church of the Tree of Life through the Inner Center. After 1987, the Inner Center began providing their sacraments to members of some religious groups as well. |
| The Church of the Tree of Life already had over 6000 members in 1979 and likely grew substantially after mention of it with mailing address in 1979 edition of Psychedelics Reconsidered by Grinspoon and Bakalar. The Inner Center sold their 5-MeO-DMT in the form of 50 mg 5-MeO-DMT on 250 mg parsley flakes. |
