Subject: Q. 4 you experts/poppy seed extraction

Ok here's the story...

A friend (yeah it was a friend, not me, I want to know what's going on
before I do this :> ) got about 300g of poppy seeds from your good ol'
supermarket (really cheap) and added the juice of about 3 lemons and let
them soak for about 10 mins. He then added some warm water so that they
were covered by about a couple of cm and again leaving them for about 10
mins. He next strained them really well and then boiled the liquid for
about half a hour untill it was pretty gooey. Down the hatch and apparently
it tasted pretty bitter.

After about an hour his 'trip' started and  went on for about 3-4 more.
Apparently it came in waves. it wasn't like an acid trip, more kinda
euphoric I can't give more details I didn't take stuff.

So u experts what did he take? and what happened in the extraction process.
Obviously it's some opiod, but which? and what about the lemons? Did vit c
synergise or were lemons used for their acidity?

Also what are the dangers?

All answers get a special net-kiss and please don't do this at home until
we know what's going on. I'd feel really bad if someone somewhere got
really frucked up somewhere 'cos of what I said.
