DESCRIPTION
D. hopwoodii is an Australian shrub which contains both nicotine and tropane alkaloids. A quid of the powdered leaves and stems of this shrub, mixed with alkaline ash and sometimes other plants, has a long history of use in traditional Aboriginal society and culture.
